1.2 These Terms establish the complete understanding governing your interaction with and the use of our Website and in-store services. By accessing our Website or visiting our store at any time, you agree to be bound by the version of these Terms currently in effect. We recommend revisiting these Terms periodically for any updates. Your continued presence on or engagement with our Website signifies your full understanding and acceptance of these Terms.

1.3 When using this Website, you confirm that you are of legal age and possess the necessary capacity to enter into a binding agreement with K Carrim Builders.

1.4 Should any aspect of these Terms not align with your preferences or if you find yourself in violation of them, we kindly request that you cease using this Website.

 

  1. Online | In-Store Purchases

2.1 To purchase items through K Carrim Builders |Tile Mecca, you must be at least 18 (eighteen) years of age.

2.2 If you are transacting on behalf of a business entity (such as a company, close corporation, or trust), the individual making the purchase must possess the explicit authority and legal standing to represent that entity.

2.3 When placing an order, it is essential that you provide us with accurate and complete information about yourself or the entity you represent. By submitting this information, you assure us of its correctness, and the ongoing responsibility for keeping your details updated and precise rests solely with you.

 

  1. Product Imagery, Descriptions, and Representations

3.1 We invest considerable effort into ensuring the accurate portrayal of our products on the Website. This encompasses:

* The visual images, offering a clear depiction of each item;

* Detailed descriptions and features highlighting the product’s key attributes; and

* Precise specifications for each item.

However, please understand that the actual product delivered may exhibit minor visual differences, as product packaging designs can evolve. It’s paramount that you confirm the product ordered is precisely what you need. In any instance of dispute concerning a product, the product model number will always be the conclusive reference, taking precedence over any associated imagery or descriptions.

3.2 Product images may sometimes feature additional items that are sold separately. Should you require these supplementary items, they must be ordered as separate products.

3.3 Since the exact colours can vary based on your monitor’s display settings, we cannot guarantee that the colours shown on your screen will be an absolute match to the physical product.

3.4 Upon the arrival of your product, whether via delivery or collection, you’ll be asked to confirm the items nature and quantity. Your signature on the delivery note will confirm that you have inspected the products and are satisfied they match your order.

3.5 Occasionally, our Website might suggest complementary products to the item you’re viewing online. These suggestions are merely indicative and not an exhaustive list or a compulsory purchase. We cannot be held responsible if you purchase a suggested product that you ultimately do not require or find unsuitable for your particular application.

3.6 If you are not entirely satisfied with the products received, you are welcome to return them in accordance with our Returns and Refund Terms.

 

  1. Product Pricing and Stock Availability

4.1 The products showcased on our Website are subject to stock availability and are delivered exclusively within specific, predetermined regions of the Republic of South Africa.

4.2 All prices displayed on the Website are current and valid only within the Republic of South Africa for the specific day they are viewed.

4.3 Online prices do not extend as an offer to any of our physical stores, as in-store pricing may vary. We reserve the absolute right, without prior notification, to cease offering or modify the pricing or specifications of any products and services presented on this Website without incurring any liability. To avoid any potential disappointment, we strongly advise you to verify the most current pricing and specifications directly before finalizing any purchasing decisions whether in-store or online.

4.4 While we cannot guarantee continuous stock availability, we will always strive to source items to fulfil your order. If items cannot be delivered, we will attempt to contact you using the information provided during your purchase, offering options such as order cancellation, quantity adjustments, or suitable alternatives if available. Should we be unable to supply every item or the exact quantities ordered, and cannot reach you, you nonetheless agree to accept delivery and make payment for the items that are correctly delivered.

4.5 For online purchases, you will be charged the prices reflected on the Website, subject to availability and excluding any Inadvertent and Obvious Errors as detailed below. All prices include Value-Added Tax. Please note that special promotions may be subject to specific conditions, including stock limitations and defined offer periods.

4.6 Note on Special Orders – Items that need to be specially ordered will carry specific lead times, it is important to call us before placing an order to avoid disappointment.

 

  1. Inadvertent and Obvious Errors

 5.1 We regret that no order can be processed if we identify an inadvertent or obvious error. This includes technical or system glitches affecting the prices or descriptions of any of our products or services on our online platform. Should we become aware of such a pricing error, we are entitled to notify you promptly. You will then have the option to either

(a) cancel the transaction or (b) proceed with the transaction by paying the correct price before the order is fulfilled.

5.2 While we appreciate that customers may use our website to research pricing before visiting our physical stores, please be aware that the pricing shown on our Website does not bind any of our physical stores, and in-store prices may indeed differ.

To prevent any disappointment, we strongly advise confirming specific pricing and stock availability directly with the store you plan to visit.

 

  1. Order Confirmation

 

6.1 Online orders placed by you constitute an offer to purchase, subject to these Terms. Upon receiving your order, we will call you or send you an email or WhatsApp message detailing your requested products and services. These communications merely acknowledge receipt of your order and do not signify our acceptance of your offer to purchase. We are not legally obligated to provide the products and services to you during this offer process.

6.2 Our definitive acceptance of your order will be confirmed either by the delivery of the products to you or by making them available for your collection. A sales agreement is only formally concluded when payment has been successfully processed AND the products have been delivered to your chosen address or physically handed over to you for collection. This remains true regardless of any prior communication from us merely confirming receipt of your order or payment.

6.3 Should we decline your order, we will inform you by cancelling it and, as promptly as possible thereafter, refunding any amount you have already paid.

6.4 By submitting an order to purchase products, you implicitly:

* Declare and confirm that you are over 18 (eighteen) years of age;

* Declare and confirm that you possess the necessary authorization to act on behalf of the company (if applicable);

* Declare and confirm that you are authorized to place the order and to complete payment for it.

6.5 To safeguard both our interests and yours, we may carefully examine transactions to prevent fraudulent activity. We reserve the right to refuse any transaction if we are not entirely satisfied that it is legitimate.

6.6 You may settle payment for your products using a valid Master or Visa Credit Card on PayFast or through Payflex. Note – PayFlex is only available on our website, in-store purchases does not apply on PayFlex. Also note that cement is excluded from being purchased on PayFlex. We accept RCS cards in-store as well.

6.7 When placing an order, you’ll be prompted to choose whether the products will be collected from a selected K Carrim Builders Store (only one store can be chosen per order) or if you’d like us to deliver the products to your specified delivery address.

Should you wish to change your order from a collection to a delivery, an additional delivery fee will be applicable.

 

  1. Cancellation

 7.1 If you need to cancel an order for any reason, please contact our Customer Services Center on +27 72 858 5858 or email online@carrim.co.za. You will only be able to cancel orders up until midnight on the day preceding the scheduled delivery date. We reserve the right to levy a reasonable charge for late order cancellations.

7.2 Special orders, including but not limited to custom paint colours, cut-to-size glass, made-to-order items, or any goods specifically manufactured, sourced, or altered at the customer’s request, are non-cancellable, non-returnable, and non-refundable once confirmed. The customer acknowledges that these items are made or obtained to their specifications, and as such, cannot be resold or repurposed by the supplier.

 

  1. Order Tracking

 8.1 We will keep you informed about the progress of your order through emails, WhatsApp messages, or phone calls. For any inquiries regarding your order, you can reach us on +27 72 858 5858, contact Head office on 012 323 3925 or email us at online@carrim.co.za. For in-store purchases, the salesperson assisting will contact you regarding updates or you may call the branch purchased at on the relevant telephone number. You will receive a tracking number for courier shipments whereby you can track your parcel.

 

  1. Delivery

9.1 We extend our delivery services to customers within specific, predetermined delivery zones. If your area falls outside our delivery range, you are welcome to collect your products directly from the store.

9.2 We currently run special campaigns for free delivery within 15 kilometres (fifteen kilometres) of selected K Carrim Builders stores. This exclusive offer applies strictly to online orders exceeding R2000 (Two Thousand Rand), and specifically excludes items such as bricks, cement, crusher, sand, and roof tiles. Any excluded products will incur the standard delivery rate applicable to that specific item. If your order does not meet the criteria for free delivery, you will forego the free delivery service, and K Carrim Builders will charge you the appropriate delivery fee from the dispatch of the product from the store to your designated delivery address.

9.3 A delivery fee may be applied to each delivery order you place. Our deliveries take place from Monday to Saturday. We do not deliver on Sundays or any South African public holidays. Most items are delivered within 3 (three) to 7 (seven) working days after your order is accepted, provided there are no unforeseen delays. Should we anticipate exceeding these delivery times, we will notify you either by phone, email, or WhatsApp.

9.4 If you request your order to be delivered to multiple addresses, each additional address will incur an extra delivery fee.

We and/or our designated delivery service provider may need to make multiple deliveries to your address. Should we choose to make multiple deliveries for your single order, you will not be charged any additional delivery fees for this. We will inform you in advance of any planned multiple dispatches to your delivery address.

9.5 It is your responsibility to ensure that the correct delivery address is provided to us. We will not be held accountable for any deliveries made to an address that you have incorrectly provided, nor for any associated additional costs.

9.6 You hereby grant us authorization to share your personal information, including your name, delivery address, and telephone number, with our third-party delivery service provider for the purpose of fulfilling your delivery.

We and/or our delivery service provider may contact you occasionally regarding your orders.

9.7 Upon delivery of your order to the specified address, you will receive a delivery note from us or the delivery service provider detailing the items delivered. Any individual other than yourself who receives the products at the delivery address will be presumed to be authorized to accept delivery on your behalf. If no one is present at the delivery address at the time of delivery, our driver will return the products. The delivery service provider will then attempt to contact you to arrange a new delivery time. We reserve the right to charge an additional delivery fee under these circumstances. Our sole liability for failing to deliver the products punctually is limited to effecting delivery at a later agreed time without additional charge.

9.8 Please ensure that you or your authorized representative is available to accept your purchases at the delivery address and that appropriate access is made available. Upon delivery, we will require you or your authorized representative to sign and print their name on a duplicate copy of the delivery note to confirm receipt.

9.9 If you arrange for your own courier service to collect or return goods, K Carrim Builders cannot be held liable for any damage or loss that occurs during transit by your chosen courier.

9.10 Goods will only be offloaded within a maximum distance of 5 (five) meters from the delivery vehicle. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that suitable access is available within this distance. Should additional offloading or handling be required beyond this point, it will be subject to prior arrangement and may incur additional charges.

9.11 You warrant that the delivery address is suitable for entry by our vehicles and/or those of our delivery service provider. Should any claim arise from damage to property such as driveways, overhead cables, or walls during delivery, we will not be held liable for any damages.

 

9.12 Note on Direct Deliveries

For selected bulk or building materials, including but not limited to bricks, roof tiles, sand, and crusher stone, delivery will be made directly from the supplier to the customer. Estimated delivery lead times for these items are 3–5 (three to five) working days from the date of order confirmation, subject to supplier availability and delivery schedules. NOTE – Delivery prices on direct deliveries are subject to your delivery address and quantity Please contact us on 072 858 5858 for delivery of bulk items or direct delivery items to avoid disappointment.

Please note that delivery times are estimates and may vary due to supplier capacity, stock availability, or unforeseen circumstances. Customers will be notified of any delays where possible.

 

  1. Store Pickup

 10.1 You have the convenient option to place an order online and then pick it up from your selected store. If your chosen store has the items in stock, you can typically collect your order the very next day. Please wait for a follow-up email, WhatsApp message, or call confirming your order is ready for pickup before heading to your chosen store. We will not be held liable for any additional costs if you arrive at the store without confirmation stating your order is ready to be collected. To utilize the in-store pickup service, simply place your order online as usual and select the “Collect” option instead of choosing delivery services.

10.2 Products can only be collected from your selected store upon presentation of a valid form of identification and the order number, which can be printed after payment is complete or accessed via your order tracking. We reserve the right to request the person nominated to pick up the order to present one of the following forms of identification:

* South African ID; or

* South African driver’s license; or

* Passport.

10.3 Orders placed for store pickup must be collected within 7 (seven) days from the date the customer is notified that the order is ready for collection. Failure to collect within this period may result in the order being cancelled or the price being adjusted to the current selling price at the time of collection.

For promotional items, pricing is valid strictly for the duration of the promotion. If a customer does not collect a promotional item within the 7-day collection period and the promotion has ended, the promotional price will no longer apply, and the item will be subject to the prevailing price at the time of collection.

10.4 In-Store Purchase Policy

For all in-store purchases, stock must be collected on the same day of purchase.

In the event that an item is not available in stock at the time of purchase, the payment will be processed immediately and the transaction will be recorded as a sales order. The ordered stock will then be supplied once it becomes available.

 

  1. Refunds/Returns

 11.1 For all returns, except where the product is genuinely faulty, the product must be unused and returned within its original, undamaged product packaging. It is crucial to ensure the product is in its original packaging with all accessories and documentation such as the original invoice/order intact for K Carrim Builders to successfully process the return.

If the original packaging has been discarded or if you have lost your invoice, your return may be rejected at K Carrim Builders sole discretion.

11.2 Following an assessment of the product and approval of your refund, K Carrim Builders will process your refund or exchange the product within 7-14 business days provided all necessary documentation is provided.

We may request the following documents for a refund:

  1. Bank Confirmation Letter
  2. ID Copy
  3. Refund Forms
  4. Original Invoice / Order

11.2 For refunds related to payments made via PayFlex – If you return the product and request a refund, and it is approved, your refund will be credited directly to your PayFlex account. We do not provide cash payments on PayFlex. K Carrim Builders bears no responsibility for any obligations arising from your separate agreement with PayFlex.

11.3 While we do not necessarily refund into the exact same account from which the payment originated, the name on the refund forms you provide must precisely match the name on the original order/invoice.

11.4 K Carrim Builders, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to issue a maximum refund of R3, 000.00 (Three Thousand Rand) in cash to you, or such other amount as determined by K Carrim Builders. Any such cash payment will only be processed at the store and is subject to a daily limit.

11.5 Please note that an EFT refund can take up to 7 (seven) to 10 (ten) business days to reflect in your account, and all EFT refunds are subject to verification of your banking details.

Please be aware that the following conditions may apply to your return:

* Delivery costs incurred by K Carrim Builders will not be refunded.

* K Carrim Builders reserves the right to charge an additional collection/delivery fee if our drivers or couriers have made more than 2 (two) unsuccessful attempts to collect/deliver the products.

* Should your product be collected and processed, but the return is not approved by K Carrim Builders (at its sole discretion), a ‘return to customer’ fee may be applicable for us to deliver the product back to you.

11.6 You can return unused products within 7 days with no 15% handling fee charge of receiving them if:

* The product was not what you expected.

* The product arrived incomplete.

* You received the incorrect product.

* You received an expired product.

11.7 Please note that for product returns initiated after 7 (seven) days from the date of receipt, a 15% (fifteen percent) handling fee will be charged. This fee will be deducted from your refund amount. This fee is not applicable to faulty items or items under warranty.

11.8 Please note that the following products generally cannot be returned, unless they are proven to be faulty;

* Products containing flammable substances (e.g., ensure generators are completely drained of diesel/petrol before any return attempt).

* Electrical items.

* Damaged pallets.

* Items damaged by you.

* Special orders/Custom made or out-sourced items.

* Used / Installed items.

11.9 You are welcome to return a product, at your own expense, to the selected branch in your order, provided you present the original invoice/order and adhere to the stipulated terms and conditions of K Carrim Builders Returns terms.

 

  1. Faulty Products and Geyser-Specific Conditions

 12.1 If none of the above exceptions apply, and a product is found to be faulty or breaks, please call the K Carrim store purchased at or email online@carrim.co.za for assistance and further support.

12.2 Should an assessment confirm the fault and a replacement of your returned product is approved, you will receive an identical product.

K Carrim Builders retains the right to collect the faulty product once it has been replaced, and by accepting the replacement, you waive all rights and title to the original faulty product.

In the event that the replacement product is being sold by K Carrim Builders at a higher price than your original purchase price, or if the exact same product is no longer available (due to being out of stock or discontinued), you will be offered a similar product. In such cases, you will be required to pay the difference in amount between the replacement product and the new product. Alternatively, you may choose to receive a refund for the original product.

12.3 Important Note on Geysers:

For geysers, the product warranty will be immediately void if the customer attempts to uninstall or tamper with the geyser themselves. All installation and any related plumbing work on geysers must be carried out exclusively by a qualified and registered plumber who is able to provide a valid Certificate of Compliance (COC). Furthermore, please do not arrange for anyone to uninstall the geyser until our designated supplier’s technicians have had the opportunity to inspect the unit. Failure to strictly adhere to this crucial requirement will automatically invalidate the geyser’s warranty. Please contact us for any geyser faults before tampering with anything on the geyser and we will provide further assistance and advice.

12.4 Please be aware of the following conditions that will affect your ability to return or claim a warranty:

* Damage caused by lightning or power surges.

* Misuse or abuse of the goods.

* Using the product for a purpose other than its intended manufacturing purpose.

* Usage contrary to the instruction manuals.

* Accidental and/or negligent damage occurring after you take possession of the product.

 

  1. Risk and Ownership

13.1 The risk associated with the products will transfer to you upon your acceptance of the products or by your authorized representative at the time of delivery or collection. We will retain full ownership of the products until complete payment has been received and collected. For deliveries, ownership transfers upon the offloading of the products at the main entrance and/or pavement of your designated delivery address.

 

  1. Quotation Terms and Conditions

 14.1 K Carrim Builders may, from time to time, provide customers with quotations for products sold by K Carrim Builders.

K Carrim Builders quotations typically include a specified validity period during which the quoted price remains active. This period will be clearly indicated on the relevant quotation provided by K Carrim Builders to the Customer.

14.2 Quotations for promotional items, including but not limited to Black Friday promotional items, will only be valid for the specific day on which the quotation is provided by K Carrim Builders to the Customers.

14.3 All quotations are subject to product availability at the time of purchase. K Carrim Builders may not be able to supply the product at the quoted price if the product is out of stock.

14.4 Please note all pricing on our quotations are exclusive of VAT (VAT will be shown at the bottom of the quotation above the total amount)

14.5 All quotations are also subject to applicable supplier manufacturing lead times, which may be specified by K Carrim Builders from time to time.

 

  1. Use of Personal Information

 15.1 We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), by using our website or services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as outlined in our Privacy & Cookie Policy, available on our website.
